This is a second version of my Leo Kottke advertisement work that I have done for The Paramount Theatre in Rutland, Vermont.$® $©
I liked this one because it seems to show more of the man's personality as opposed to all of the flashy pomp that is in the other image that contains all of the lights and the streaks for most of its background.$® $©
I knew that I had gone too far with the other peice that did not work as well, but I felt that I had to pursue the image because of it's artistic style.$® $©
However, the artistic style of the other peice had nothing to do with the music of Leo's that I had downloaded from a podcast sight containing his music, so I knew that I would not use the ad in the end.
This particular ad seems like it needs a bit of contrast to make the darker blacks of the original black and white photo match the other blacks that I had used for the surounding edges of the peice. But, I liked the misty looking aura that it gives off on some people's computer screens, so I left it the way it was. $® $© |
