Welcome to my 35 mm. black and white photography page. This is a menu of some of the black and white photography that I have done through the years. All of this work on this page has been done using the old technology of 35 mm. film in a darkroom. A lot of this work was accomplished in an introductory to photography course that I took when I attended a community college in Massachussetts.

An old neighbor of mine used to collect swords. I thought it was a real shame that he didn't really have much of a chance to go out and swing them around, though. I was glad to talk him into posing for some shots for an assignment that I was doing for my Intro to Photography course. Here, it is like I have captured the true inner nature of the Northern Barbarian tribesman. Or perhaps it is just Tim, my old neighbor. Click on it to get the bigger image.

who's that guy with the sword?

This picture works well. The mood is there because of the clouds in the background and the majesty of the mountains.

Click Here For Higher Resolution The background took a long time to burn in in the darkroom. This was a very longterm process that took an extreme amount of effort. The location was Poet's Seat Tower in Greenfield, Ma.. I thought it would work well because I thought that it might look like a Medeival castle. I was going for the feudal-king states 0f-Dark-Ages-of-Europe feel. I think that I kind of succeeded. Except for the L.L. Bean insignia on Tim's Sweatshirt and the modern jacket, this peice seems like a hearkening back to some ancient times.

This was kind of a scarey shot.

The Tunnel.

The tunnel that proceeds from the Sothwest Towers Dormitories, under Massachussetts Avenue, and towards the UMASS campus in Amherst, Massachussetts, is kind of a weird tunnel and I am glad that I got a good picture of it. Click here for the Higher Resolution Image.

The Clarinet

Player.

I saw this guy jamming out behind Thorne's Market in Northampton, so I took his picture.

This is the bike-path as it goes over the Connecticut River From Hadley to Northampton. This is one of the only pictures that I have of this place as many of them were stolen from my storage unit when I was in between apartments.
